Ministries - Morning Star Church Chiang Mai

Morning Star Church’s ministry extends well beyond the four walls of our building. We are in the process of growing current ministries while planning for future ones. Our goal is to effectively serve and positively impact the Chiang Mai community and its surrounding areas. We seek to do this only by His Grace and His Leading.

Covid Ministries

Here in Chiang Mai we’ve seen first hand how those with little have often been the ones hit hardest by the economic effects of the pandemic. We’ve collaborated with local villages to bring food and supplies to those who are in need. While providing for spiritual needs will always be central to our work, providing for the physical needs is also key to serving our Lord.

Positive Parenting Classes

It’s been said the “Children Are Our Future”. We believe this to be whole-heartedly true and desire to raise our children in a manner that’s most pleasing to God. We’re in the process of creating a curriculum designed to teach children healthy and wise ways of living as they enter into their teenage years.

English Classes

Many of our church members were blessed to have received education in English-speaking countries. Additionally, we have a number of native speakers as well. This presents us with a rare opportunity to effectively teach locals English at a mere fraction of the cost of regular lessons. Typically English classes can cost anywhere from 250 THB ($8) – 400 THB ($13) an hour. While that may not seem like much to many Western countries, the minimum wage in Thailand is 300 THB ($10).

Bible Study

Our Bible study ministries take place through out the week in various locations across Chiang Mai. Whether it’s church members who haven’t been able to attend service or non-believers interested in learning more about the scriptures, we are blessed to be able to used to share His Living Word with others. For those who can’t make it to us, we’ll go to them and it’s our blessing to do so.
