The meaning of Community
Church Community in Chiang Mai
In life, we all need support. Whether it’s an encouraging word, a listening ear, or sound advice, support comes in many forms. As Christians, expressing the love of Christ in this manner is central to our faith. When the Lord said not to forsake the gathering together, He knew well the infinite value of community.
Along these lines, Morning Star Church (Chiang Mai) offers multiple opportunities to serve and be a part of the body. We believe that some of the greatest miracles that God performs happen through relationships and interactions within the body of Christ.
As such, our church has weekly Bible studies, praying meetings, and special-interest groups based on activities such as hiking, fishing, motorcycle-riding, and badminton. We’re blessed to be able to offer our members different ways to get and stay connected with each other.
Morning Star Church Groups
We view the activities of our church community as key to our personal growth and development in our Christian walk.
Bible Study Cell Groups
Bible Study cell groups meet up once a month and are held at different locations within the Chiang Mai area (San Sai, San Pa Tong, Hang Dong). This is a dedicated time to learning more about His Word while sharing life experiences. These groups are designed to discuss the scripture in an open setting where every question is welcomed.
Men’s Fellowship Groups
Our Men’s fellowship groups offer a place for men to come together, learn from one another’s experiences, and be challenged by our call to grow as Christian men and leaders.
Movie Groups
If you enjoy watching movies, consider connecting with one of our movie groups. Sometimes we watch movies at the theatre and other times we watch them at someone’s home.
Outdoor Hiking Groups
Do you enjoy the great outdoors or appreciate getting exercise outdoors? Chiang Mai is literally a heaven for those who appreciate the beauty of nature. Its majestic mountains testify to awesomeness of God’s creations. We invite you to come explore a variety of trails with us which include beginner hikes to “steeper” adventures 🙂
Women’s Fellowship Groups
Our Women’s fellowship group are designed to help the women of our church grow in a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ. Whether it’s exploring meaningful questions about their faith or connecting through conversation, our women’s group provide a time for spiritual growth.
Motorcycle Group
Do you ride? Our motorcycle group takes trips to different locations within the Chiang Mai area. These locations can include coffee shops and camp sites in the middle of the mountains to casual rides in the city.
